Utopian Events is excited to wish a Happy One Year Anniversary to our awesome clients: Amita Dodani Dhawan and Hemant Dhawan.
Amita and Hemant were awesome to work with. Both working professionals who lived in NYC, and were hosting their wedding here in Atlanta. Although they did not have time to come back and forth to Atlanta to select decor, they were decisive enough to select all their decor over Italian food and drinks with Komal Auntie and Himant Uncle, who were lucky to take a nap on one of our sprawling benches!!!
At that meeting, I remember showing the couple two pieces of a prototype for their contemporary inspired backdrop. It was raw and unfinished. With one glance, I remember Amita nodding her head and saying Yes, I LOVE it! The best part was revealing the finished product at their reception and seeing their happy faces.
From start to finish we loved helping our clients, whose reception backdrop and estate table were featured in Grace Ormonde April 2013 digital version. This was the first time Utopian Events concepts were featured in this luxurious magazine. Thank you Amita and Hemant for believing in Utopian Events and allowing us to be a part of your special day.
In addition to Amita and Hemant’s beautiful decor, they selected some of Atlanta’s finest vendors to assist them at their wedding, creating a enjoyable weekend that all their guests and appreciated vendors will always remember.
Congratulations Amita and Hemant on your 1st year. Hope you have a great weekend!
Below is a testimonial from the clients themselves:
The first word that comes to mind when I think of Utopian Events is PROFESSIONAL. I was extremely impressed with the timely responses to all forms of communication. We only had 2-3 months to plan the entire wedding. The showroom/warehouse made it easy to visualize ideas. Shushil is very dedicated to bringing your vision to a reality. He and I worked till early morning hours to ensure the ideas and concepts were accurately captured. My initial concern with my wedding was that two events sangeet and reception would be in the exact same ballroom.
My sangeet was exactly what I had imagined….full of color, draping, decorated food stalls, and low bench seating with matching color theme upholstery. The room was vibrant and full of color making it the perfect welcoming mood for our first event.
The wedding ceremony was traditional yet classy event. It was important to my husband and I that we keep the ceremony more traditional hence the location at the Swaminarayan BAPS temple. The mandap was a semi-circle to make the ceremony more inviting to all our guests and the aisle was beautifully decorated with a pattern of fresh rose petals along with the mandap. The Utopian team worked diligently into the night to ensure that everything ran exactly on time.
The reception took place in the same ballroom as the sangeet and several people refused to believe it, which in itself tells you how incredible the transformation was in that room. The best way to really convey my satisfaction with Utopian Events is just to see the pictures from both events taken place in the same room and you’d be completely amazed as we were when we saw it. The décor was absolutely breathtaking. All our guests were in total shock for the first few minutes after entering the ballroom and felt like they had walked into a fairytale.
During the initial planning I had described a more modern décor for the reception. I wanted to keep in the silver, white, lavender, and anything bling. The best part was the custom-made backdrop for our stage. It was completely taken from concept to reality in less than 2 months. It incorporated candles and flowers without being too floral. It became the backdrop for all of our guests personal pictures. The estate tables were another “WOW” statement. I have never seen a flower arrangement look so contemporary.
The amazing teamwork with Utopian Events, Luxury Lounge & Lighting, and Sketch Productions brought the backdrop, estate tables, lit-up dance floor, ceiling draping and chandelier, LED bars, and white lounge furniture from a dream to the best reality.
Three months later, and our guests are still talking about how our wedding was one of the most beautiful, intimate, and classy events they had attended.
It was hard to verbalize our reaction to all your work. We just got the picture gallery a couple of days ago so as we go through them we are just reminded of how awesome all the events looked.
Shushil – Thank you again for all your hardwork making our event be the talk of the community!!
